Sat-nav systems such as the TomTom Go are being caught in the blast of an RAC survey that blames confusing road signs and in-car entertainment for motoring accidents. But, gadget fans, it\’s not our fault

I just cannot agree with the comment that satnav systems are a distraction. My own considerable experience with satnav is that it leaves me free to keep my eyes on traffic instead of hunting for directions on roadside signs.
Satnav systems cannot be equated with in-car entertainment which may, for a variety of reasons not associated with the driving task in hand, take over part of the thought and thinking process required to drive a car safely.
